Battle Republic

Boxing has become a newfound love in New York and LA and now it's here in the Magic City.

"Battle Republic is a boxing-inspired gym that combines High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), and strength training for kickass results. With state of the art technology and a DJ booth playing a killer playlist, Battle is for the people who want to put work in and have fun while doing it. “One step at a time. One punch at a time. One round at a time.” Battle was founded by four entrepreneurs who saw an opportunity in the Birmingham fitness scene to shake things up. They offer either a 45-minute or 25-minute workout. Each class has a combination of boxing on the bag and floor work. Plus to measure your results they attach bonuses to the points you can earn during class. You automatically give you 100 points just for showing up and give you more depending on how hard you work so you can earn prizes!

Conveniently located in Pepper Place, Ignite Cycle is one of the many cycling studios in Birmingham, but the experience definitely stands out from the rest.

Their typical class is 45 minutes long, in a dark room, with loud music, and a group of your fellow sweaty party animals. For those 45 minutes, you'll ride to the beat of an expertly curated playlist, do some fun {and safe} dance moves on the bike, and you'll have one song working your arms with some lightweight dumbbells.

"Our classes are designed for you to ride to the beat the whole time, but we know that is so much easier said than done! Each time you clip into the bike, it is your ride, and YOU get to decide what feels right. It will absolutely be challenging, but we will never ask you to be perfect. We will not get in your face {except maybe occasionally to cheer you on!}, and we will never make you feel like you're not cutting it. We are here to help you connect with your highest self, and we will do everything in our power to get you there!"
