It is yet another busy week in Birmingham. Industry leaders are coming into town, the biggest music festival in the city is taking place alongside some of our other largest annual events, and there are plenty of fantastic shows to take in as always. Vision Cellars Tasting with Mac McDonald (Tuesday)

LeNell’s Beverage Boutique in North Birmingham has made it their purpose to highlight the diverse industry leaders that make the beverage industry so special. This message is amplified with the appearance of Vision Cellars owner Mac McDonald, who helped pave the path for Black vintners beginning in the 1990s. McDonald is coming to the boutique this Tuesday from 4 to 5:30pm. This special event will also feature a wine tasting. 

Sarah Lee Langford & Will Stewart at Ferus Artisan Ales (Thursday)

Sarah Lee Langford and Will Stewart have both worked hard and released a lot of great tunes to become favorites in the Magic City and beyond. The two will be sharing a stage at Ferus in Trussville this Thursday night, which should also provide a sneak preview of the duo’s collaborative new album which Will has described as “cosmic country, California country stuff.”

Furnace Fest (Entire Weekend)

Furnace Fest quickly became Birmingham’s largest music festival, and the 2022 edition is an exciting new chapter. World-famous acts like New Found Glory, Manchester Orchestra, Sunny Day Real Estate, Mastodon, Descendents, and many more will be at Sloss Furnace rocking stages all weekend. A plethora of pre and post-fest parties are taking place across the city as well, including official celebrations at Iron City on Thursday and Saturday. 

Fiesta Birmingham at Linn Park (Saturday)

Birmingham’s largest Latino cultural celebration takes place at Linn Park this Saturday. Fiesta Birmingham is one of the most colorful and entertaining events each year. Music, food, art, and more combine to make for an unforgettable evening. The 2022 event features headlining performances from Los Adolescentes Orquesta and Los Nuevos Relampagos. 

24th Annual Symphony 30 Picnic Benefitting ASO at Birmingham Botanical Gardens (Sunday)

The Alabama Symphony Orchestra is bringing quite the delightful event to the Magic City this Sunday, as they play their 24th annual Symphony 30 benefit picnic at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Festivities include a Kids Zone, food from Urban Cookhouse, and a top-notch concert in one of the most beautiful parts of the city. 

Zac Brown Band at Oak Mountain Amphitheatre (Sunday)

Cold beer on a Sunday night? That’s a strong possibility for thousands as the Zac Brown Band comes to the Oak Mountain Amphitheatre in Pelham on September 25th. The band is known for their catchy country tunes, which are sure to end the week on a nice note.
