A handful of tickets still remain for the tenth annual Taste of Hoover, scheduled from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 7 at Aldridge Gardens.

“It is a fundraiser to support Aldridge Gardens’ nonprofit foundation and to highlight our local restaurants and vendors,” said Tynette Lynch, CEO of Aldridge Gardens and director of hospitality and tourism at the City of Hoover. “I like to call it a big garden party.”

This year’s Taste of Hoover will feature around 30 restaurants and vendors, Lynch said.

“We invite all Hoover restaurants, our catering partners that cater at Aldridge Gardens and Hoover Randle House, and, of course, our partner vendors such as International Wines and Craft Beers, Back Forty Beer, Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery, Coca-Cola Bottling Company Inc., and Red Diamond Coffee & Tea.”

In addition to the restaurants and vendors, Taste of Hoover will have live entertainment provided by The Lori Rayne Group, and The Hoover Belles and the Hoover School Foundation volunteer at the event to welcome everyone and assist where needed, Lynch said.

The event is entirely outside and was held last year with anew layout, spreading the event out more throughout the Gardens so everyone would feel comfortable with more distancing.

“And it worked, so we will have that same layout for this year,” Lynch said. “What sets this apart from a lot of Taste events is that people actually grab a table, which are spread out throughout the Gardens, and stay until the end of the event, enjoying the beautiful atmosphere of being in the Gardens.”
