Halloween weekend is coming up, with the 31st taking place next Monday. There will be lots of trick-or-treating, scary decorations, and costume-centered events taking place in the Magic City over the next seven days to celebrate. On this special night(s) of the year - anything can happen! Superheroes drink with zombies, ninja turtles throw darts with medieval knights, and every occupation has sexy attire available. Birmingham has multiple opportunities to participate in some Halloween fun - here are a few favorites. 

The Spooky Dance (Thursday)

Some of Birmingham’s most-loved party starters are coming together for some spooky fun this Thursday! DJ Gap is supplying the music for this dance party, which also features hookahs and a haunted house experience. Attendees are encouraged to come wearing costumes and bring some dancing shoes as well. A great way to start off the Halloween weekend.

Scare Your Face Off XII (Friday)

One of the Magic City’s most fun scary season traditions is returning. Scare Your Face Off features Birmingham’s best bands playing songs from music legends of various backgrounds. This entertaining experience, which takes place at Saturn and is hosted by DIY Birmingham, is further boosted with a costume contest and lots of Halloween festivities. Come dressed up and have a blast! It is one of About Town’s most looked-forward-to events of the fall.

The Midnight Effect Halloween Dance Party (Saturday)

The Midnight Effect has been bringing dark dances to the Birmingham area on a consistent basis for a while now, with each party adding to the legend that is this dark experience. Halloween weekend is the perfect time for the next edition, which will take place at TrimTab on Saturday night. Geisha, Memorexx, and PanzerSoldat will all be playing tunes at this free event.

Stranger Queens, Kings & Things Drag Brunch (Sunday)

The Babes Who Brunch have been elevating the Birmingham drag brunch scene for multiple years now, and love a good holiday to add to the festivities even further! This year’s theme is Stranger Things and the event takes place at Ferus on 41st with first come first serve seating beginning at noon.
