Railroad Park may not be as big (or cold) as Central Park, but this year they have ice skating just the same! From now until January 16th, you can be festive outside at the Railroad Park ice skating rink, whether that means skating yourself or watching from a bench nearby with your hot chocolate from Red Cat across the street. And if you’re one of those over-achievers who throw the parties instead of just attend them, the rink is available for bookings! Brrrmingham's Winter Wonderland opened December 1st and has been a huge hit among locals since day one! We had to check out what all the fuss was about for ourselves and we’re pretty pleased with what we found. A quaint, magical little family-friendly AND date-worthy ice skating rink located in “Birmingham’s front lawn” along 1st Ave S between 14th and 18th Streets. They sell booze and hot chocolate to keep the whole gang happy and warm, the string lights add the right sort of festiveness and ambiance you dreamed it would have, and the communal location and atmosphere just hits you in all the right feels. The downtown cityscape isn’t too shabby either, especially with the Regions building looking extra dressed up!
