Try cooking a healthy meal with together. A trip to the grocery store to pick out ingredients for dinner can be fun before the cooking even begins! If cooking together sounds like a recipe for World War III, grab takeout from any of Birmingham’s amazing restaurants.
Namaste and Chardonnay
Sign up for a yoga, Pilates, group fitness, or ba dance class together. Follow up your sweat session by enjoying a glass of wine or a smoothie together.
Schedule a Skate
Feeling brave? Lace up those roller blades or ice skates and go skating together. You’ll have a blast recreating those middle school memories together!
Own the Outdoors
Go somewhere you’ve never been before. Hit the trails of Oak Mountain, go on a bike ride, or stroll around the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Add a picnic, and you’ll have an amazing experience!
Be a Bham Tourist
Visit historic landmarks in town you may be new or overdue for a visit. Race each other to the top of Vulcan, walk through the historic Civil Rights District or go wild at the Birmingham Zoo! If you’ve only been with kids, you’ll see the Zoo in a totally different light on an adult visit.
5K to Couch
Go for a walk or run together on Lakeshore Trail, Rotary Trail or at Railroad Park. Once you’re done exercising, pile on the couch to watch a favorite movie with some light snacks.
