Lakeview restaurants have been known to throw a great party, and that tradition continues this Saturday, June 4th, as Slice Pizza and Moe’s Original BBQ join forces to bring together one of the finest jam-centered lineups you’ll find all year. The Lakeview Hullabaloo is featuring city favorites like Funk You, T.U.B. The UnKnamed Band, and the Tuckahoe Travelers. The night is further catapulted into Birmingham lore with two sets from Gov’t Mule, an iconic band featuring Warren Haynes, to close out the evening. The event takes place from 2pm to midnight and also features a wing-eating contest between Magic City celebrities and lots of food and beverage options for all who attend.

At $25 for a General Admission ticket ($30 at the gate) and $100 for VIP tickets (which include two drinks tickets and access to VIP seating, along with private bars and restrooms), this is a wonderful deal for a great day out with friends, family, and fellow jam enthusiasts. The event is even more impactful as proceeds will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS)

Slice and Moe’s both have built big followings for their event hosting talents, with SliceFest and Moe’s Original BBQ Smokin’ Summer Jams bringing music lovers from around the nation to the streets of Lakeview for an ode to all things sonically beautiful. This year’s event is in loving memory of Slice co-founder Jeff Bajalieh.

The festival organizers chose the term “hullabaloo” to represent the day’s purpose, as it felt like the most accurate description. The word is defined as loud mixtures of noises in commotion and excitement or causing an uproar of joy and expression, which is what the Lakeview district and good jam tunes are all about. They will be creating the ultimate combination of both this Saturday, and we can’t wait to see the city get groovy.
