The Hoover Met parking lot isn’t usually known for its bright colors and tasty treats, but that changed as the MOSS MAGIC Fall Fusion festival moved in. This fun collaboration between the Moss Rock Festival and Magic City Art Connection provided a fantastic blend of art, crafts, and food that made for a great weekend adventure.

Walking down from the entrance, attendees were quickly greeted by beautiful assortments of flowers at the Wild Honey Flower Truck. The blue truck holding these floral masterpieces also housed a friendly dog named Zella, who wasn’t the only animal enjoying the Hoover sunshine. Just a few tents down, in fact, a red-tailed hawk greeted guests along with some volunteers from the Alabama Wildlife Center.

Three rows of tents provided a perfect place to search for home decor, Christmas gifts for loved ones, or a little treat for yourself. Candles, jams, stained glass, T-shirts, and endless art from local vendors made it hard to choose where to spend. One unique tent was hosted by CEMENT6, who partners with Cambodian artisans to create wallets, backpacks, and more - all recycled from concrete bags. Elysian Gardens, who plans to bring a unique outdoor venue to Avondale in 2021, displayed incredible hand-made statues and metal decorations.

No matter what caught their eye, event-goers easily had a good time at this year’s Fall Fusion festival - with a row of food trucks, coffee and Steel City Pops to greet them between shopping spurts!
