Celebrate what your body can do. Work out because you love your body, not because you hate it. When you exercise, remember to thank your body for what it does for you – your heart for beating, your lungs for helping you breathe, your abs for supporting your back. Your body is so much more than what it looks like.

YOU time. If you don’t need some time to yourself – and for yourself – well, I’m gonna need to know your secret. Whether you choose a 10-minute walk or a 45-minute spin class, give yourself that time…you deserve it!

Endorphins. Elle Woods had it so right. Exercise releases endorphins, and endorphins make you feel better, and…well, you know how the rest goes.

Connect with others. As much as I love chatting with a friend over a glass of wine, sometimes my body needs a little something different. Whether you choose to move your body at home, at a gym, or in a studio, you can find a community of people doing the same. And who doesn’t want to connect over something that makes you feel better?

Conquer a challenge. Listen…you’re faced with enough obstacles every day. It can feel daunting to add another one. But here’s the secret: when it comes to working out, it’s ok to keep the stakes are low. In a great workout, you’re in control of the intensity. So, why not create a challenge for yourself you know you can nail? It’ll make you mentally stronger, and it will make those higher-stakes challenges seem a little less daunting.
