Bare Hands, Inc. will be hosting the 2021 Taco-Rita Festival this Saturday at Sloss Furnaces from 4-8pm. Some of Birmingham’s most-talented mixologists will be shaking it up while tacos of all kinds will be made available for guests to enjoy! “Not So” Shamrock Shindig

Hosted by The Arc of Central Alabama’s Junior Board, this year’s “Not So” Shamrock Shindig will be held on a later date than usual, however it will still consist of fun games for guests of all ages to enjoy! 100% of the funds raised will be gifted in support of the mission titled #inclusionforall which is focused on people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Food and drinks will be provided by Back Forty Beer Co. and there will be a grand prize drawing for a 7-day Orange Beach getaway. You won’t want to miss this opportunity! F9: The Fast Saga

With the continuation of the Fast and Furious series, F9: The Fast Saga introduces Jakob, a character played by wrestler and actor John Cena, who is Dominic Toretto’s little brother. The character nicknamed Dom is played by well-known actor Vin Diesel, and this addition to the series brings both action and storyline loved by viewers of the previous Fast and Furious films. Sidewalk Films will be showing this new movie at two separate times this upcoming Friday, 3pm and 6:30pm. Be sure to fill your tank and show up at Sidewalk Film in order to get a good seat for F9: The Fast Saga. 


The Vegabonds

This Friday, Avondale Brewing Co. will be hosting The Vegabonds starting at 7pm with doors opening at 6pm. This Alabama-born, Tennessee-bred Southern rock band will be playing a song list from their newest album titled, “V”. The band wishes to tell a story through their music and if you attend the concert they hope you will be able to pick up on the message hidden within the vocals and beat. The Barons are back in BHAM and continuing their 12 game series that runs from June 22 - July 4. This week the home team plays The Pensacola Blue Wahoos with plenty of extra festivities including Thirsty Thursday, Friday Night Fireworks, Saturday Los Barons and Soccer Night, and Family Day on Sunday.  See here for more information.

ROAR The Cure will hold its 10th Annual “Never Say Cancer Again” James Bond Gala, at The Club Saturday, June 26, 2021.  


All proceeds benefit the UAB Radiation Oncology department to help find cancer cures with cutting edge research. Funds are matched dollar for dollar by UAB physicians. The event includes both silent and live auctions, dancing, and dinner.

Already thinking about your 4th of July plans?  Start the weekend off with a bang on Friday, July 2nd as The Backyard celebrates with their All American Blast! In partnership with The Outlet Shops of Grand River and WZZK 104.7 Radio, The Backyard will host a day of live music, face painting & balloon art, great food and drinks, mini-golf, movies and yes, a huge firework show! 


Home to the newly opened Neighbors Brew & Pies and Saw's BBQ Leeds - guests are encouraged to show up early and enjoy all there is to offer!


Festivities kick off at Noon. Live Music begins at 12pm. Fireworks start at 9pm. Single movie to follow immediately after the firework show at the Grand River Drive-In.


All ages and pets are welcome, so get your tickets early as this event will sell out!
