The Birmingham Zoo will be holding Zoo Brews this weekend with a “Penny-A-Pour” from local breweries and a wide selection of brews and food made available to visitors! Each taste of local drink will be made available for a penny, with sweet tea and coffee also being available for guests who are under age! The long list of local breweries which will be present at the event includes: Good People Brewing, Avondale Brewing, Fat Bottom Brewing, and many more!

With a day full of cocktails and fun activities, why wait for actual Mardi Gras to roll around? Easter Seals of Birmingham will be holding Mardi Gras Reclaimed this Saturday at Highland Park Golf Course.  A Virtual Run starts off the event and participants are encouraged to run in their favorite Mardi Gras attire. At noon, golfers will check-in at Highland Golf Course with a shotgun start at 2p.m. With live music, free gifts, and a silent auction sponsored by Diamonds Direct, guests of all ages are encouraged to show up!  There's even a chance to win a Mercedes-Benz with a hole-in-one!

Barons vs. Montgomery Biscuits

Get ready for a baseball battle between two of Alabama’s most popular cities! This weekend, the Birmingham Barons will be challenging the Montgomery Biscuits at Regions Field. Gates will open for guests at 6pm, and the first pitch is scheduled to be thrown at 7pm on Friday. Fireworks will conclude the first game of the weekend and “America’s Ballpark Prankster” Rally will make an appearance on the evening of the 22nd! To wrap-up the weekend, come down to Regions Field this Sunday for a family fun day presented by Jack’s and the Birmingham Zoo!
