Have you ever wanted to know the origin story of the poinsettia, one of the most well-known and beloved Christmas traditions?

Take a walk in the Conservatory of the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, see its iconic poinsettia tree, and find out more about the history of the poinsettia as Tomie dePaola’s The Legend of the Poinsettia – a retelling of the Mexican folktale about the origin of the poinsettia – is retold.

The Holiday Story Walk will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 18, a part of the Birmingham Botanical Gardens’ new Family Fun Days series. Tickets are $15 for one adult and one child, with $5 for each additional child.
