5th Annual Gala and Auction Benefiting Sweetwater Outreach

Sweetwater Outreach

The 5th Annual Sweetwater Outreach Gala & Auction took place on March 3rd at the B&A Warehouse in downtown Birmingham. The guests enjoyed themselves throughout the evening beginning with a cocktail hour, live music by Tom Gassaway, dinner, and a silent auction. Guests had the opportunity to bid on incredible items such as original artwork, concert tickets at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, massage gift cards, and more.

This event benefitted Sweetwater Outreach’s future projects, including the Water for Schools project, which provides water access and purification to schools in Kenya. Sweetwater Outreach also introduced its Adopt-a-School program, which went live at the event and gives donors an opportunity to make a direct impact by partnering with a specific school and providing a purification system.

Sweetwater Outreach began in Birmingham 10 years ago and has worked in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Sierra Leone. With community support, Sweetwater Outreach hopes to continue to grow and duplicate its sustainable model in more countries in the future.
