Every year, the Birmingham Bar Association Young Lawyers Section partners with local businesses to help charitable organizations make a difference in our community through the BBA YLS Community Outreach Grant, which is funded through Charity Trivia Night. Charity Trivia Night features a team trivia competition and includes an open bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres for all attendees.
This year's event took place on Thursday, October 9th, at Avenue D Events. The proceeds of this year’s Community Outreach Grant will benefit Grace House Ministries' Equine Therapy Program, an initiative that seeks to provide horseback riding as a therapeutic extracurricular opportunity for girls in foster care and living at Grace House during the 2025–26 school year.
Past recipients of funding from the BBA YLS Community Outreach Grant include: Community Care Development Network, Just Keep Smiling’s Bennett Cameron Reed Program, Better Basics, Mother’s Milk Bank of Alabama, Assistance League of Birmingham, Firehouse Shelter, Restoration Academy, and Special Equestrian.
