Birmingham Bar Association Young Lawyers Section Charity Trivia Night
Every year, the Birmingham Bar Association (“BBA”) Young Lawyers Section (“YLS”) partners with local law firms and businesses to help charitable organizations make a difference in our community through the BBA YLS Community Outreach Grant, which is funded through Charity Trivia Night.
The proceeds of this year’s Charity Trivia Night went to benefit Just Keep Smiling’s Bennett Cameron Reed Program. Just Keep Smiling is a non-profit organization that seeks to assist families with critically ill children. The Bennett Cameron Reed Program assists families faced with the loss of an infant or child who are not financially equipped to pay for burial expenses. The Bennett Cameron Reed Program provides qualified families with access to a respectful, dignified burial that does not cause financial stress.
Past recipients of funding from the BBA YLS Community Outreach Grant include: Better Basics, Mother’s Milk Bank of Alabama, Assistance League of Birmingham, Firehouse Shelter, Restoration Academy, Special Equestrian, and the Birmingham Police Department’s Domestic Violence Training.
