The YWCA of Central Alabama held a fun evening of cotton candy, games, fireworks, and fundraising at the re-imagined KIDS Korner event on August 19th at Regions Field. The new date, time, look, and venue created an experience enjoyed by all guests! All proceeds from the event, hosted by the YWCA Junior Board of Directors, help support the YWCA Child Development Center and the children they serve each day.
The YWCA Central Alabama believes that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, no matter what circumstances they are born into. Their nationally accredited Child Development Center makes certain that children experiencing homelessness or living in low-income or at-risk households are kindergarten-ready, and provides a safe place to learn, grow, play and forget about their adult-sized worries. With your help, the YWCA can continue to provide a strong foundation for those who are the most vulnerable.
YWCA CEO, LaRhonda Magras, “We are so grateful to the community for their continued support of the KIDS Korner event, now in its 14th year. This event is crucial in raising funds to support the kids in our Child Development Center, and this year we are so excited about the new look of the event.”
