Operated by some of the nicest people you’ll meet in the city and featuring a wonderful outdoor space complete with an art park, Fevers Grill and Juice Bar is a must-visit in the Magic City. Their wood-fired oven cooks their vegan pizzas to perfection, and their vegan wings (fried cauliflower coated in buffalo sauce) can’t be beat. New China Town

New China Town’s Mongolian “beef” is a Birmingham treasure.

This 5 Points South staple is a favorite amongst many in the Magic City, with their vegan menu being a large reason why. The restaurant estimates that nearly 40% of their customers order vegan! The Mongolian “beef” special is the crowd favorite, but sesame tofu, General Tso tofu, garlic tofu, and veggie dumplings are among the contenders fighting for the top spot in stomachs across the South.

McFly’s Bird Shoppe

The world truly is a better place since the invention of vegan chicken tenders.

Vegan chicken tenders may sound like a dream from the future, but the fine folks down at McFly’s have turned this into a present day reality. The massive munchables will leave you full, and their large quantities of fries or tater tots provide the perfect companion to this animal-free experience. The restaurant also expects to have more exciting menu announcements (including vegan options) coming within the next few months - so be on the lookout!

Burritopunx - slinging burritos, magazines, and wonderful vibes.

In addition to being one of the best interview experiences we’ve had, Burritopunx is making other hearts around the city happy by providing delicious burritos that easily fit into the vegan diet. The relatively new pick-up/delivery business lets you order ahead of time each week for a weekend burrito connection. They sell out quickly, so be sure to jump on the opportunity as soon as you can.
