Birmingham, Birmingham, Birmingham. You’ve been giving us quite a lot to do this year, and our feet have barely had a chance to slow down! While the city may eventually give us a week of rest - this is not the week. This is the week of sports tournaments, concerts, and art markets - which sounds a lot more fun if we’re being honest. Here are a few of the events that we are most looking forward to.

U.S. Cup: Legion vs. Charleston FC at Protective Stadium (Wednesday)

Magic City soccer fans know how thrilling it is to watch the hometown Birmingham Legion FC play, and more people around the nation than ever will witness as the team hosts Charlotte FC in the U.S. Cup’s Round of Sixteen on Wednesday evening. This is a milestone game for the Legion, and you can expect it to be a celebration in the stands.

Vibe Tribe 205: May Producer Showcase at The Upstairs at Avondale (Wednesday)

Luke Crowder has been building something big with the Vibe Tribe music producer event that takes place at The Upstairs at Avondale each month - and the May edition on Wednesday night is a highlight amongst dozens of great lineups. Birmingham producers greats Nekaybaaw, King Tall T, Enrique1x, and Adam! will be featured alongside Magic City creatives including Sheep Black, KB, and more.

Furnace Fest Presents: Bodysnatcher (Friday)

We still have a few months to go until September, but Furnace Fest is keeping us busy by providing great live music while we wait for the iconic Magic City festival to return. This Friday’s show at Saturn should give fans the rush they need to patiently wait until Fall. Bodysnatcher is coming to play Saturn alongside Chamber, Gates To Hell, and Bluhd.

Rumours: A Fleetwood Mac Tribute at Iron City (Friday)

Everyone has a favorite Fleetwood Mac song. Most of us have many. All the hits and hidden gems by the legendary group will be heard at Iron City on Friday night as Rumours comes into town. This band has rocked the Magic City before and always brings a good time.

CityWalk Bham Art Market (Saturday)

CityWalk has been uplifting Birmingham ever since the innovative park was put under the interstate in North Bham. Skateboarders, food trucks, pickleball lovers, and thousands of people looking to enjoy a beautiful walk before a Squadron game, concert, or the World Games have enjoyed it. The space grows even more this Saturday  beginning at 1pm as the good people behind the Art Hub Collective bring the first in a continuous market series.

The 12th Annual Salsa Showdown at Cahaba Brewing (Saturday)

Looking to spice things up this weekend? Sidewalk’s annual Salsa Showdown, which takes place at Cahaba Brewing, has proven time and time again to be the must-visit event for both entertainment and tasty samplings. Good food and good people to support a good cause? Now that’s a great Birmingham moment. Make plans to be a part of this year’s festivities on Saturday from 2 to 6pm.
