It’s bound to be another great weekend for events in the Magic City as we draw closer to the end of June. Birmingham party-starters and culture celebrators are bringing fun events to partner nicely with the steady stream of live music that is now a mainstay throughout town (including The Kickback’s Saturday market that we recently highlighted). We share some events we’d recommend checking out this weekend here.

Ghost Hunt and Paranormal Investigation (Friday and Saturday)

Things get spooky when The Southern Ghost Girls come into town, and they have Birmingham designated as their destination this Friday and Saturday from 7 to 10:30pm! The paranormal television stars will be taking Magic City residents on a tour of the Arlington House. The home was built in the 1840s, which means there will be plenty of haunted tales to be told. Grab some friends, put on your most courageous set of clothing, and get ready for a creepy night out.

The Yellow Dandies’ Midsummer Smash (Friday)

One of Birmingham’s favorite bands, The Yellow Dandies, is leading a Swedish celebration with flower crowns and two “hog wild sets” to celebrate Midsummer. The event is held at True Story Brewing Company on Friday, June 24th, from 8 to 11pm, and is sure to be quite the joyful bash.

CahaBAZAAR Vendor Market (Saturday)

The CahaBAZAAR has become one of the most anticipated annual events in Birmingham, and with good reason. The market, which is in its eighth year this Saturday, will have over 70 vendors and feature some great Birmingham music and food options. There will be free massages with Sally-Marie Spa and tunes from Conner Patrick and Steel City Jug Slammers. They also have a great eating lineup with Not Ya Average Leaf, Saw’s Street Kitchen, and the Milo’s Burger Bus joining The Current at Cahaba.

Litty's in the City 2022 (Saturday)

Little Italy’s in 5 Points South is hosting the ultimate Birmingham festival on Saturday with “Litty's in the City” from 1 to 11pm. Davis Little & Haleigh Black, Rebecca Egeland, The Stepdads, and Cheyloe & Her Sleepless Knights are just a few of the names on this stellar lineup The festival is sponsored by Birmingham Mountain Radio and features tasting from Sweet Home Spirits and a tattoo raffle with Stay Gold.

Electra Presents: Cosplay Dance Party

Electra is known to throw a great dance party, and will be in top-notch form this Saturday at 10pm while the venue celebrates the arrival of Magic City Con 2022. Cosplay is welcomed at this weekend's spectacular, which features the fantastic tunes of Clemanzo. We’d imagine it’s sure to be another great night on the dance floor at this Lakeview club.
